Over two years ago I commenced a project to only read books by female identifying authors, this I documented via the hashtag #shewroteiread over on my Twitter account, since then this has expanded to included non-binary identifying authors (and as such I’m in the market for a new hashtag).
I have recently collated these books onto a Google Map to try and understand better the scope of my reading and the areas of literary fiction that I’m missing out on.
I am a chronically slow reader - but will be attempting to document my female and non-binary fiction consumption on the below map with the ultimate aim somewhere down the line to have read a book from each of the 195 countries of the world.
Press on the door symbol to expand the maps memory menu and click on each red pin to view the text and authors name. Each pin has been placed at the city of the authors origin.
